As a senior business economist in the economic research department, Walstrum plays a crucial role in tasks such as contributing to the Beige Book, conducting the Chicago Fed Survey of Economic Conditions, and providing briefings to the Chicago Fed president on Seventh District economic conditions. Additionally, he is a contributing author to the Bank’s Midwest Economy blog.
